North Dakota united hosted a listening session to speak to key players of the Minot education Association.
Some topics discussed were more election participation and increasing union memberships.
Public education workers were able to express their thoughts on some issues.
One subject brought up –was the idea of arming teachers with weapons to increase school safety.
“Headlines have been talking a lot about what we should be doing in classrooms and what teachers should be responsible for and those people maybe don’t know what teachers really do,” said Sarah Hicks an English teacher at Magic City Campus.
North Dakota United will be meeting with public education workers all across the state in the next months.
