First lady Kathryn Helgaas Burgum will be at the White House tomorrow.

She’s been invited to attend a White House Women’s Event.

She’ll be on a panel of state and federal leaders as part of a health care discussion that includes the nation’s opioid crisis.

Helgaas Burgum will contribute her expertise and experience related to combating addiction.

There will be several panel discussions taking place throughout the day featuring names like Ivanka Trump, Presidential advisor Kellyanne Conway, and Secretary of Education Betsy Devos to name a few.

Last week, Gov. Doug Burgum signed an executive order creating the Office of Recovery Reinvented to promote strategic and innovative efforts to eliminate the shame and stigma of addiction and catalyze strategic efforts to strengthen recovery services. Helgaas Burgum will chair the advisory council that oversees the Office.
