Bismarck – With the worst of winter in the rearview mirror, many of you are thinking about spring cleaning and getting ready for the summer months.
But don’t forget about one important possession, your car.
Winters extreme cold was especially hard on certain parts of your car, such as the battery, your brakes, and tires.
now with Spring in full swing, this is a good time to get some routine maintenance done on your vehicle before the extreme heat hits later this year.
We talked with a repair shop which told us what you should be thinking about when it comes to your car.
“Your belts, your hoses, your tires, umm, your snow tires, in particular, have to be off by April 15th, the spring is coming the dusty part of the season is coming so your filters, you know you got your cabin filter for your inside, you’ve got your engine filter for the car.” Said Steve Stockert: Assistant Manager: Capital Heights Auto Clinic.
He adds if you plan on any long distance road trips this summer then a tune-up is highly recommended, especially for older model cars.
