UPDATE: 18-year-old Taitum Eller was pronounced dead at the scene. She is from Saint John North Dakota. The crash is still under investigation.

A St. John, ND teen was killed when the ATV she was riding was involved in a three-vehicle crash Saturday evening near St. John.

The Highway Patrol reports the 18-year-old woman died in the crash.

The driver of her ATV, 18-year-old Dylan Larocque of St. John, was uninjured, as was the driver of a second ATV involved in the crash.

The Patrol reports Larocque’s ATV was stalled on the edge of County Road 43 and the driver of the second ATV was attempting to tow the disabled ATV. As they were preparing to leave, the two ATVs were hit by an SUV driven by 56-year-old Kevin Borud of Minot.

The Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash.
