The Parshall High School was built in the 1960’s and soon will be replaced with a new school right next door.
Currently, the high school is for 7th through 12th graders but the new one will hold grades six through twelve.
The superintendent says the condition of the current facility is becoming an issue with the ground underneath not being stable causing shifting to happen.
The new school will be about twenty-thousand square feet larger and provide more classrooms, office space, and a separate area for concessions.
“Certainly having collaborated spaces and new updated science equipment and spaces, new updated technology, so many things that will enhance the education for our kids,” said Beth Schwarz, Parshall Superintendent.
Construction begins on Monday.
The school is predicted to be ready in December 2019.
