The last time the building was renovated was in the ’90s — when it was an ice rink.

Now the ice rink doesn’t exist.

Instead — the building has 3 multipurpose courts — which can be used for volleyball, basketball, and soccer.

And there are batting cages available.

The arena is shared by the Mandan Park District and Mandan Schools.

Naomi Erdahl, Recreation Manager, says, “It is a school and park based facility so any activities that are scheduled through the School and the Park District are part of the facility. And outside groups within the community can rent the facility.”

They are hoping to have activities in the arena within a couple of weeks — they are finishing the final details now.
