A local bowling alley and animal shelter have teamed up to help homeless animals.
15 teams laced up their bowling shoes and struck down pins throughout the day. Between games, the bowlers raced to get the fastest strike while doing something silly like sitting or laying on their stomachs. They stirred up friendly competition with gift cards for the trick shot winners and trophies for the highest scorers in each division. The money raised from the entry fee helps the shelter with their day to day business keeping the pets healthy and safe.
“It’s a bonus to do it for a cause. The animals need it, so we’re here for them and its just something extra to do during the weekend,” says Suzanne Nostdahl, Animal Lover.
The event raised roughly 15 hundred dollars for the Souris Valley Animal Shelter.
