Bismarck, ND – The plane that crashed in Morton County on Sunday night had been in a previous accident.
KX News found an NTSB report from 2005 when the plane had a different owner. Someone was flying the plane into Thermal, California. The report says the plane landed hard, bounced twice and slid off the end of the runway. It called the damage to the plane “substantial.” The report said there was damage to the right flap, the fuselage and the forward firewall and electronics bay bulkheads.
Bismarck Air Medical registered the plane five years later, in 2010.
