Early Saturday morning, Mandan Police Officers located a driver and SUV they believe were involved in a Bismarck shooting.
The SUV was found during a traffic stop by Mandan Police officers Saturday, Sept. 1.
Evidence of the shooting was found in the vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle is Antonia Wood, 25, of Bismarck.
A call came into the Bismarck Police Department at 7:20 p.m. Friday, August 31 of shots fired near a park.
The shots were fired near N.16th street and E. Rosser.
Witnesses reported seeing a driver of an SUV extend an arm out the window and fire five rounds from a handgun.
After firing the gun, witnesses say the driver sped off.
Bismarck Police officers responded to the call but when they arrived to the scene they didn’t find the driver or the SUV.
No one was injured as a result of this incident.
Wood was arrested for Reckless Endangerment, Discharge of a Firearm Within City Limits, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Driving Under Suspension.
Wood was taken to the Burleigh-Morton Detention Center.
This case remains under investigation.
