POW MIA flag gets permanent fixture at the Capitol

A moment area veterans have been waiting for– for a long time…

After legislation was passed by the House and Senate… a POW flag will now fly alongside the US flag outside the state Capitol.

Current military, Government officials and Veterans all gathered together today– to honor our Vets.
We talked to one State Representative about what he thought of this monumental occasion.

“We were asked by a local, local Vietnam Veteran’s Club to do this. So it was a true Constituent Bill. This is why we’re here today and we went through and it passed so. We’re here and happy to see it today flying and it will fly every day from now on at the Capitol grounds,” said Pat Heinert, Representative District 32, Bismarck.

Governor Burgum said it was a terrific Legislation and it was an honor for him to sign this bill.
