A Powers Lake man who pleaded guilty to killing his brother and hiding his body in a camper for several months has been sentenced to spend another year in prison.

Aaron Larson was sentenced today in North Central District Court.

Larson pleaded guilty to negligent homicide in the case.

Investigators found the body of his brother Terry Larson wrapped in a blanket and locked inside a camper on property in Powers Lake where Aaron Larson lived.

Prosecuting attorney Wade Enget says Aaron Larson admitted to a struggle with his brother where a gun was discharged.

But Enget said there were problems in trying to prove key elements of the case, making the sentence of two years in prison the proper move.

Larson will get credit for the nearly-one year he has served in jail and will be on probation for three years after his prison term ends.
