With the thousands of supporters at President Donald Trump’s speech in Fargo, there was also small crowds of protesters.

They stayed on the outskirts of the Scheels parking lot, many carrying picket fence signs.

Hillary Ray crossed the river from Moorhead to take a stance against Trump, saying he is a president who lies.

“We’ve got no way to reunite these thousands of children, some of whom– not only are they not able to identify their parents, some of them are so young, they can’t speak yet. First of all- it’s a misdemeanor to enter the country illegally. and it’s not illegal to enter if you’re seeking asylum,” said Hillary Ray, Protester.

She says she’s also seen major negative changes with healthcare, specifically women’s access to birth control. And she says is not the direction the country should be heading.
