Red Cross Assisting Flooding Victims

Bismarck – While North Dakota is experiencing some flooding, it’s nowhere near the devastation they’ve received further South.

But there’s still plenty of time to help those in need.

Officials with the Red Cross say they have over 500 people helping those impacted by the spring floods in Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, and Wisconsin.

Temporary shelters have been set up across those states to assist those who’ve been displaced by flooding.

We spoke with the Red Cross, and they tell us– they’re bracing for significant flooding in Eastern, North Dakota this spring.

“There’s a lot of preperation going on, we have our own supply chain, we’re making sure our vehicles are ready to go, that all our supplies are in place, we’re actually in great conversations with emergency management in Fargo, Grand Forks, Pembina, that area”. Said RobStotz: Disaster Program Manager: Red Cross Western ND.

He adds the best way to help is to give a monetary donation
