A soccer-themed restaurant that closed its doors two years ago will be back later this month to support athletic programs at University of Mary.
According to a press release from the university, Reza’s Pitch will return to raise funds for the Mauraders men’s and women’s soccer programs. The event is scheduled from 11:00 am to 12:45 pm on Sunday, October 21st in the north parking lot of the MDU Resources Community Bowl.
Former employees of the soccer-themed restaurant, including owner Reza Kamranian, will be on hand to serve build-your-own burgers, chips, and water for $10 per plate.
Following the fundraiser at 1:00 pm, the UMary women’s soccer team will take on Upper Iowa. The men’s team will play host to Fort Hays State at 3:30 pm.
According to the press release, proceeds from the fundraiser will go toward the University of Mary Mauraders Armada to provide scholarships to student athletes.
Reza’s Pitch closed in June of 2016.
