It’s the third annual Minot’s Ribfest.
There’s many ribs to choose from and for KX reporter Alexus Arthur it’ll be a first.
She shares her rib eating experience.
I’m at the third annual Minot’s Ribfest and it’s my first time here and believe it or not, it’s going to be my first ever having ribs.
“We cook them low and slow on four different wood.” said Richard Hubbard, Porky N’ Beans.
Now I have to choose where to eat.
I ended up at Porky N Beans. They’ve been open for 35 years and have claimed many titles.
“This is called Porky’s Platter. We’ve got ribs, pulled pork, beef brisket, beans and cornbread. This is one of our best seller platters that we have.” said Hubbard.
“You will enjoy it.” said Hubbard.
I guess it’s time to dish up!
“All right!” said Hubbard.
Here we go — first time!
It’s pretty good!
“All right, all right!” said Hubbard.
I enjoyed it so much I took another bite.
And one more.
I wasn’t the only one who thought the ribs were delicious.
“Ribs are very good. The beans and coleslaw came with it and those are very good too.” said Garret Picard, Minot Resident.
“The meat and the sauce, it’s a combination of things but it’s the beef, it’s just the flavor.” said Mike Maurus, Burlington Resident.
“It was my first time eating ribs but it definitely won’t be my last. At Minot’s Ribfest, I’m Alexus Arthur.
Minot’s Ribfest will be open through Sunday at the State Fair Grounds.
