The recount of the June 12 primary votes cast for Libertarian candidate Roland Riemers has been completed.
The Secretary of State candidate picked up 1 additional vote, cast in Burleigh County.
That raises Riemers’ vote tally in June from 247 to 248 — still short of the 300 needed to be listed on the November election ballot.
Riemers asked for a recount after the primary, which was turned down by the Secretary of State’s office.
Riemers then appealed to the North Dakota Supreme Court, which granted Rimers’ request for a recount.
The State Canvassing Board will meet September 4 to certify the results of the recount.
