Local food pantries are gearing up for days leading up to Thanksgiving, but some are still in need of food to be able to help those in need.
We checked in with the Salvation Army in Minot.
They say on average they assist more than 300 families in the area.
Around the holidays they see more people in need, but their pantry isn’t stocked enough to provide festive meals.
“We need more donations to give to people we need more stuff, more food to give out that’s the biggest message we’d like to give out,” said Captain Randy Stahl.
The Salvation food pantry in Minot is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
