300 middle school and high schoolers took over the campus at Minot State.
For the 32nd consecutive year, the university hosted a regional science competition.
They call it science olympiad.
Students from all over western North Dakota attended.
They competed in events like experimental design, disease detective, chemistry and more.
One teacher describes the yearly event as a chance for students to see how science is used in the real world.
There were about 20 events to compete in.
