Skating through the Decades

A local ice skating club is looking to finish off another decade of shows with a trip down memory lane.

This is the Magic City Figure Skating Club’s 39th annual ice show. They’re taking audiences on a musical tour through the years, from the 20s to present day.

One skater has been with the club since kindergarten, and says that she has a love-hate relationship with the sport. Despite this, she adds that she can’t imagine her life without it. The hours dedicated to rehearsals can be overwhelming, but she feels it’s worth it to get to skate with her friends.

“I enjoy solos, but I would rather be out there with my friends instead of just being out there by myself,” says Taylor Garaas, Figure Skater.

The skaters will perform Through the Decades again, on Sunday, March 25th at 2:00PM in the Maysa Arena.
