If you smell kiwi, strawberry, watermelon or a host of other flavors when you receive a package or put a stamp on a package, you’re not crazy. The U.S. Postal Service is releasing a series of scratch and sniff postal stamps June 20.
On that day in Austin, TX, scent filled stamps will first go on sale, followed by sales at other Post Office facilities around the nation.
Known as the “Frozen Treats Forever Stamps,” they will be sold in books of 20 at the current first class rate of 50 cents per stamp, or $10 per book of 20.
The stamps feature illustrations of frosty, colorful, icy pops on a stick. Each of the 10 stamp designs includes two different treats.
You can read more about the new stamps here.
The stamps can be pre-ordered at this link soon for delivery shortly after the June 20 issuance.
