Bismarck Public Works is already gearing up for the snowfall we’ll be seeing tomorrow. But, this year, we’ve seen MUCH less snow in Bismarck than last season.

Last year we received about 71.6 inches of snow and this year we had 31.3 inches of snow. With less snow, that means a lot less city dollars to operate the snow plows.

I found out how much we spent from November to February of this year: $652,030.57 for Nov. 2017 – Feb 2018. Costs for Nov. 2016 – Feb. 2017 were six times as much, coming in at $3,818,725.37.
