Sobriety Checkpoint scheduled for Burleigh County

North Dakota Highway Patrol troopers will conduct a sobriety checkpoint Friday in Burleigh County.

Saturation patrols will follow the checkpoint through the weekend.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol says impaired driving continues to be a problem in North Dakota. This year, 17 people have died in alcohol-related crashes.

The HP says the goal of alcohol saturations is to increase awareness of the dangers of drinking and driving.
