Sobriety checkpoint set for Morton County Thursday

The Morton County Sheriff’s Office is reminding Morton County residents there will be a two-hour sobriety checkpoint conducted tomorrow, Thursday, July 12, from noon to 2:00 p.m.

Led by both the sheriff’s office and the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the checkpoint, at an undisclosed location, is an effort to reduce impaired driving by increasing public awareness of the dangers of drinking and driving.

In addition to the checkpoint, officers will conduct saturation patrols in Morton County through the weekend of July 12-14. The goal: Removing impaired drivers from the roads.
