Soggy Doggy Pool Paw-ty

Before the pool closes for the winter, the Minot Park District invited all four-legged friends to take a dip in the pool. The Soggy Doggy Pool Paw-ty allowed the dogs a chance to meet other dogs and get out their extra energy. Dogs of all sizes swam through the water to fetch balls and Frisbees. Some of the dogs needed a little extra coaxing to join in the fun.

“I just like watching the dogs. I have a couple that are my favorites. There’s one dog that comes to the edge of the -the pool, and he screams until he gets in the water, then once he gets in the water he’s perfectly fine.” said Randy McDonald, SVAS Director.

“Seeing Bowzer in the pool is great. Just… it’s a really great community event. We get all of the dogs together, all the animal lovers together, and it goes to such a great cause.” said Shannon Zellner, Third Time Participant.

All proceeds from the event went towards the Souris Valley Animal Shelter.
