South Heart decides not to cancel prom

The weather caused South Heart Public Schools to cancel school today, and it almost caused their prom to go South.

Faculty and staff at the school were concerned about the road conditions and visibility this morning,
and thought it might be in the best interest of student safety to reschedule this weekends prom to April.

They decided to go forward with the original date after listening to parents and students concerns.

” I was a little upset because I was looking forward to prom all week.”This is my senior year so I was looking to have a lot of fun,” said Trace Jacobson, South Heart Student.

His sister Laken said, “I had a hair appointment. I got my nails done. I was just ready for it”.

The prom is scheduled for Saturday and about 300 student will be attending
