Spartan Nash Closing Minot Center

42 jobs have been lost at a Minot food distribution center.
Spartan Nash is ceasing operations at its Minot warehouse, transferring area customers to receive shipments from its Fargo location.

A company press release says the closure is not a reflection of the local workers, but rather the competitive nature of the grocery distribution business.
Spartan Nash officials say they are working with Minot employees who have expressed an interest in moving to positions in other cities.

The company says it has listed the Minot building for sale and hopes to complete the closure of the Minot operation by early next month.
