This weekend, the mail carrier is hoping to do more than pick up and drop off letter in your mailbox.
They are also hoping to be picking up food.
On Saturday, it’s the the stamp out hunger food drive.
Bags are being dropped off in the mail and then you are able to fill it up with non perishable food items.
Then you leave it by your mailbox and your mail carrier will take care of the rest.
“We do it for our community and for the people who can’t afford it,” said Kassie Momerak, Food Driver Coordinator.
If you don’t have one of the stamp out hunger bags – you can fill any grocery bag and put it in or next to your mailbox.
They are hoping to raise 40,000 pounds of food.
