All in-person visitation and volunteer services at the North Dakota State Penitentiary have been suspended.
According to a post on the Department of Corrections website, officials will re-evaluate the suspension on October 7.
KX News reached out to the ND State Penitentiary, and they said this is due to the rise in COVID cases.
According to their COVID dashboard, 35 residents and 4 employees are positive for COVID-19 as of, Friday, October 1.
Officials also said the no visitation rule only applies to the state penitentiary.
