North Dakota Air National Guard mobilized to help relocate Afghans

Fourteen North Dakota Air National Guard service members were mobilized to support Operation Allies Refuge, a program created to support the relocations of Afghans to the United States.

The airmen, nicknamed the Happy Hooligans, are serving in Volk Field, Wisconsin and Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey.

Their mobilization is expected to end on Sept. 30.
