North Dakota law enforcement is putting a focus on distracted drivers starting April 1.
Extra patrols are being assigned statewide to enforce North Dakota’s distracted driving laws.
It’s part of a nationwide, “U Drive. U Text. U Pay“ program that will run through the month of April.
In 2018, two statewide campaigns resulted in more than 370 citations being issued.
In the U.S., texting while driving is the most common form of distracted driving.
