Students in Minot got the chance today to have their very own Presidential Debate.
Our Redeemer’s Christian School in Minot chose two of their high school students to portray Donald Trump and Secretary Hillary Clinton.
While the debate did test their knowledge, there was of course some acting as well.
(nats) “So, those tax returns?”
(Farr) Sound familiar?
Students at Our Redeemer’s Christian School held a mock debate, with what seemed to be fairly accurate impersonations of Secretary Clinton and Donald Trump.
(Jayden Wetzel/Junior, Our Redeemer’s Christian School) (in debate) “I know the Mexican people very well. I am very good at negotiating deals. I know lots of leaders among lots of other nations, I know exactly what I’m doing.”
(Ashley Cox/Junior, Our Redeemer’s Christian School) (in debate) “As I said earlier, under our current laws, an unborn person does not have constitutional rights.”
(Farr) The students were very much in character but regardless of which side they were on, they did seem to have done their research as moderator Tim Olson drilled them with very real questions.
(Voice of Tim Olson) “Do you feel that the right to bear arms includes every type of gun under every circumstance?”
(Farr) One thing that the candidates agreed on – they were on the same page when it came to which issues were most important.
(Cox) “Taxes, abortion, same sex marriage, immigration, terrorism, stuff like that.”
(Wetzel) “I suppose abortion, they argue a lot over that. Taxes, tax plans – that’s probably the biggest – just economic issues.”
