There are over 500 call scenarios law enforcement officers run into every day.
Scenarios range from domestic calls, fight calls, traffic stops –the list goes on.
Local law enforcement ran through some of those scenarios with criminal justice students at Minot State.
Students were even able to practice shooting skills with a virtual shooting simulator.
“You can’t have anything more vital because one bad shot, one mistake can lead to your department being sued, you loosing your job or even you going to jail or prison. There’s really nothing more important than proficiency in shooting and your natural reactions to situations like these,” said student Wyatt Smith.
The same simulator is used at the Lake Region State College police academy.
