Earlier in the year, 8th grade students were tasked with creating a dodge ball tournament event that the whole community could be involved in.

To be apart of the tournament participants had to pay a small fee.

Now, the students who created the event got to donate all that money back to an organization of their choice.

The class decided to donate to Relay For Life and for student Miah Nelson, this hits home.

“People in my family have had cancer and it’s just personal to me and I’m happy that it’ll help someone else,” said Miah Nelson, Erik Ramstad 8th Grader.

The students at Erik Ramstad Middle School donated over twenty-six hundred dollars to Relay for Life.
