If you own a vehicle, North Dakota is the best place to drive it.
That’s according to a BankRate study, which ranked the states according such as safety, driving quality traffic fatality data, road condition reports, gas prices and more.
North Dakota comes in at #1 on the list.
“North Dakota is fairly safe for drivers, with a fatality rate of 1.16 deaths per 100 million vehicle miles traveled and a theft rate of 234.7 vehicles per 100,000 inhabitants — lower traffic fatality and vehicle theft rates than the national averages,” the study reports.
Minnesota came in 4th, while South Dakota clocks in at 9th.
The worst place for driving?
California.
