Winds today had peak wind gust near 50 mph in the south central area of North Dakota. Winds are currently calming down as the front is passing through the area, including some rain showers that were picked up by radar. There will be clearing skies in the overnight hours with a wind shift from the west to the southwest. By Monday, another round of rain showers is expected in the southern areas and will continue into Tuesday morning. The northern half of the state will see most of the rain on Tuesday. Temperatures will also become more seasonable through the course of the week as a cold front comes through the area midweek. Average for this time of the year is mid 50s for a high and low 30s for the low. The work week will start out with above average temperatures and rain showers and then transition to cooler temperatures with much sunnier skies for the remainder of the week. Jumping ahead to the weekend, temperatures continue to cool in the lower 50s, maybe even a few 40s with partly to sunny skies across the area. 
 
Sunday night, lows continue to be above average in the mid 40s with clearing skies throughout the area and a west wind shifting southwest at 5-15 mph. 

Monday, highs in the mid 60s with a showers developing throughout the area staying mainly to the south with cloudy skies. Winds out of the south at 2-10 mph.

Monday night, some showers clearing overnight and will pick back up for Tuesday. Skies become partly cloudy with a southwest wind shifting west at 1-8 mph. Lows in the lower to mid 40s. 
 
Tuesday, highs in the mid 50s and partly cloudy skies with rain showers in the area, but mainly in the north. Rain showers are expected to clear by the evening. Winds out of the west and then shifting northwest at 5-15 mph. 
 
Tuesday night, lows in the mid 30s, close to average, with partly cloudy skies and  light and variable winds from the northwest.
