Survey: Dating costs are cheap in N.D.


If you want a cheap date, North Dakota is one of the best places to do so.

According to a 24/7 Wall Street survey, North Dakota ranks second out of the 50 states for the least expensive date state.

Which is im,portant these days. A survey calculated the average unmarried American spent $1,506 on dating in 2016.

Tickets to a movie have gone up as has the price for a liter of wine.

The average cost of a date today — consisting of two dinners, a bottle of wine, and two movie tickets — adds up to $102.32.

That cost can vary by state due to taxes, travel costs and overall costs of living,

To determine the cost of a date in each state, 24/7 Wall St. constructed an index based on measures related to dating expenses in all 50 states.

Using this criteria, 24/7 figures the average cost of a date ib the Peace Garden State is $42.43, the second lowest in the nation.

South Dakota takes the top spot, where the average date cost is $38.27.

The most expensive state in which to date? New York, where the average date runs $297.27.
