Suspect in Tuesday’s Officer-Involved Shooting was Wanted on Multiple Drug Warrants

The suspect in Tuesday afternoon’s officer-involved shooting is identified as a 26-year-old Bismarck/Mandan man. 

Mandan Police and officers from the Metro Area Narcotics Task Force were working together to find the man on October 9th. He was wanted on numerous warrants.

The man was seen in a vehicle in Frontier Trailer Park in southeast Mandan.

Police pulled the vehicle over on South Frontier Trail near 6th Avenue SE.

Shortly after, a Mandan Police Officer shot the 26-year-old male. He was struck and injured.

Officers on scene secured the man and provided first aid until paramedics arrived. The male was transported to a local hospital and is being treated for injuries.

The North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigations is conducting the criminal investigation from here.

The officer involved was placed on administrative leave according to Mandan Police Department Policy.
