GREAT FALLS –
Janelle Red Dog, accused of killing Poplar toddler Kenzley Olson in April, is scheduled to go on trial on November 21st.
Red Dog, 42, appeared in court in Great Falls on Thursday before Magistrate Judge John Johnston.
Red Dog pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder, second-degree murder, child abuse and accessory after the fact.
Court documents say that Red Dog “purposely and knowingly” caused bodily injury to and killed Olson with “malice aforethought.”
It also says she aided a man identified in court documents only as John Doe, knowing that he committed a federal crime of aggravated sexual abuse, in order to prevent his apprehension.
Red Dog was remanded to the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service.
