Suspected counterfeiters arrested in Dickinson

The men officers believe are responsible for distributing thousands of dollars of counterfeit money in the Dickinson area have been arrested.

Today around 11 a.m. the Dickinson Police Department executed a search warrant on a residence on 3rd Street Southwest in Dickinson.

The warrant revealed an active counterfeiting operation with more than $2,600 in counterfeit bills in various stages of production

Detectives arrested nineteen – year old Cole Higgins, and twenty – two year old Kristopher Hogue.
 
Authorities believe the men have been distributing those counterfeit bills to various businesses, mostly $20 bills  for the past week
.
They were both charged with Felony Facilitation of Counterfeiting, a Class B Felony and are currently being held at the Southwest Multi – County Correction Center.
