The Burleigh County Sheriffs Department and highway patrol arrested 2 suspects tonight for reckless endangerment and fleeing a motor vehicle.

At around 7 this evening, the sheriffs department sent a text alerting residents in the area to report any suspicious activity.
A white male and a Native American female were fleeing police, crashed the car, then fled the vehicle on Highway 10.
Within an hour, police received a call from a resident that led to both of the suspects arrests.

The Burleigh County Sheriffs Department said the last time they sent a text alert was about 6 months ago – and in cases like this, it’s necessary.
