Teen Center Planned for Bismarck Public Library

Bismarck teens will soon have a place all the local library.
The Bismarck Public Library recently announced construction of a new teen center.
The project is based on about six hundred responses to a survey sent out by the library.
When completed, the space will feature a fireplace, furniture, booths, and student art on the walls.
The space is for middle and high schoolers only.
The library’s director says there aren’t many other places in Bismarck reserved just for teens.
“We feel like if we have a teen center, we can meet that need.  The children have their own spot in the library, the adults have the rest of the library so both me and the teens feel like they need their own place to go,” says Christine Kujawa, Bismarck Public Library
Over 350,000 dollars was raised for the project which should be complete by December of this year.
