The Olympics game are in action!
Kids from 6 years old to 18 are competing in the Ag Olympics put on by the 4-H Achievement Days.
Alexus Arthur shows us the competition.
“This is their chance to let their hair down and just have a great time.” said Amy Schauer, 4-H Leader.
The 4-H Achievement Days have kept the kids hard at work.
“They’ve just kept their hair tied tight, they’ve kept their shirts ironed, they’ve kept their stalls clean.” said Schauer.
Now they’re biggest focus is to laugh, play, and compete one more time.
“Just messing around and being competitive about it.” said Mason Kraft, 13 Years Old.
The Ag Olympics has 5 events and in teams of four they have to work together to make it to the finish line.”
“It’s a big team builder.” said Schauer.
The competitors have their favorite events.
“The M&M pudding one.” said Kenned Limke, 13 Years Old.
“They can only use their mouths to find the M&M’s.” said Schauer.
“I got some whipped cream on my glasses and I couldn’t really see what I was doing.” said Kraft.
What was it like to stick your face in a bucket of pudding?
“Gushy, warm feeling.” said Limke.
But in the end, the messy, gushy, warm feeling was worth it.”
“You make new friends and that they can be your friends forever.” said Limke.
