Temperatures fell throughout the day with widespread 30’s, this is what most would consider typical North Dakota weather. But the gusty wind made it seem a bit colder.
“So were you just not expecting this cold weather today? I have a jean jacket on and no I wasn’t I had my windows down out of the parking garage and as soon as the door opened I was like holy cow”.
With a wind advisory put into effect for Central and Western North Dakota until 8pm tonight, not many people were out and about.
“I don’t like the wind”.
But others went about their day as normal.
“This is North Dakota, we should be used to it by now”.
Some were excited.
“I love it, it’s North Dakota bring it on”.
“I love it”.
“I like it when it freezes”.
But people like myself, who are from California, needed advice on proper winter attire.
“A snow suit and thermo underwear for sure”.
As many North Dakotans know, today was only of taste of what’s to come.
And soon when we look out our windows, we’ll see a white winter wonderland.
