As the midterm election draws closer, the discussion of democrats versus republicans gets more heated.
At the end of the day, Pastor Thomas Sumers wants to remind people that politicians -and everyone else- we’re all human. He is preaching a three-part sermon called The Red and The Blue to encourage looking at politics through the lens of a Christian. In his latest installment, he discussed how politicians and politics are always changing.
“Thank God we live in a democracy where every four years, we have a chance to change what is there. Whether the change is any better or not, it remains to be seen, but at least we have the option to change it,” says Neil Jenson, Faith United Methodist Church Congregation Member.
The third sermon of this series will be held next Sunday at the Faith United Methodist Church in Minot.
