The Salvation Army uses fundraiser to help serve the community

A nationwide organization is raising money to help serve people in the community by ringing a bell.

The Salvation Army puts on an annual fundraiser in November to raise money for its programs.

Paul Schadewald, volunteer, says it’s a longtime tradition that makes a difference in people’s lives.

“Its done throughout many cities across the country,” Schadewald said. “The Salvation Army provides support for people in various ways, whether it is spiritual, food pantries, clothing drives. A whole variety of things provided through the salvation army.”

Bell ringers will be at your local clothing stores, grocery stores, and around the community.

They will be accepting donations until Christmas Eve.
