New Town, ND- We have new developments in the search for a missing New Town woman.
Authorities on the Fort Berthold reservation say they are exploring leads in the search for Olivia Lone Bear.
Kx News spoke to family members and the lead detective on the case.
It’s every family’s worst nightmare- learning that one of your own is missing.
“This is very hard to..I mean..I can’t,” said Harly Texx Lone Bear, Olivia’s father.
A father left speechless with only worry and confusion on his mind.
“My daughter is about 5’6 she has light brown hair kind of shoulder length she’s around about 125 to 130 pounds,” said Texx Lone Bear.
Olivia Lone Bear was last seen Tuesday on October twenty-fourth, community members say they last saw her at Ranchman’s saloon and steakhouse formally known as Scenic 23.
“This is kind of unique because we don’t have an exact location where she went missing generally we would,” said lead detective on the case Sam Lincoln.
The 32-year-old mother of five was known to be driving a 2011 greenish Chevy Silverado that she borrowed from a friend, and that vehicle is also missing.
“This person has been interviewed and we’re following up on information that he had given us” said Lincoln.
A tip line has also been set for Lone Bear and search parties were out starting yesterday.
“We’re following on up on every call that comes in,” said Lincoln.
Search parties on the reservation have approximately 988,000 acres to search through with no starting point at this time
“She’s 32 she can go anywhere she wants to go that’s not against the law, we just want to make sure that she’s safe,” said Lincoln.
Lone Bear’s cell phone was left at home and is being forensically examined by authorities.
“Not like her at all is what surprises me the phone being at home would be the one thing cause she’s always keeping it with her,” said Texx Lone Bear.
Detective Lincoln also confirmed there has been no activity on Olivia’s bank accounts.
“We’ve checked everything no movement on her account nothing” said Lincoln.
And so the search continues with the family hoping for a happy reunion.
A tip line has been set for information on Lone Bear.
