Three Children Injured in Drunk Driving Crash with Parents


Two parents are facing child neglect charges following a drunk driving crash. 

According to court documents, authorities responded to a call of a crash involving a possible drunk driver traveling south on highway 1806 

When authorities arrived, they found three young children, ages 2, 3 and 4 laying in the ditch. 

The driver, a 37-year-old man, fled on foot, he was found an hour later, in a coulee, and was found to have a .20 blood alcohol level. 

The mother was still at the scene. She was also severely intoxicated. 

A check of the vehicle found no car seats. 

The 2-year-old had to be life flighted to Fargo for injuries. 

The 3 and 4-year-old have since been released from the hospital. 

The father also faces a DUI charge, leaving the scene of an accident and causing injury or death as a result of drunk driving. 

He is being held on $10,000 bond and has a no contact order.
