Today at the Capitol, it’s the final slate of committee hearings before crossover.

First up, lawmakers want the American Flag on display in Memorial Hall

It’s not currently on display and this resolution would make sure it stands alongside all flag display at the Capitol.

One committee will talk about the importance of making sure rural communities have access to fresh food and produce.

Since 2013 North Dakota has lost 15 percent of its grocery stores in towns with populations of fewer than 2,100 people; and

So lawmakers want to study the problem and see what role the state plays in making sure food makes it to rural communities.

There are also two resolutions relating to Veterans.

One simply honors all of our armed services members. Those still alive and those who have lost their lives in the line of duty or due to the results of their experience.

The other honors the many volunteers who have organized Honor Flights for North Dakota and Minnesota Veterans.
