Thursday’s PM Forecast Update 3/30

News
From the KX Storm Center:
Today it has been cloudy with some sun shining through at times. Afternoon temps mainly in the 40s & 50s with a light to moderate wind out of the South & SE. Temps will stay in the 50s & 60s with lows in the 30s during the next several days. This means that our spring thaw will continue with mild weather conditions. There will be a few chances for rain through the rest of the work week & weekend, but nothing too major. The biggest problem that we have on our plates is flooding concerns in North Central ND. There are flood warnings along the Mouse & Wintering rivers and Willow creek. Also Areal Flood Advisories are in effect for parts of our Northern Region (North Central ND).
The next, best chance for rain will be tonight through Friday night. Scattered rain will be off/on during this time, mainly affecting our northern region and West. Parts of Western & Central ND may get .25 – .50″  of new rain and others will not get any. So, a chance for scattered rain with light accumulations expected (if any) for most of the state. Saturday will bring more sunshine and temps warming back through the 50s, into the 60s by Sunday. Another chance for hit & miss showers to wrap up the weekend, but most of the state will not get wet until next week.
The 7day outlook has rain chances Monday night through Tuesday with some mix possible during that time, too. Through the 7day planner, temps stay in the 50s & 60s for highs with 30s and a few 40s for lows.

Tonight, partly to mostly cloudy with some clearing and temps well above average. Lows in the 30s & 40s with a SE/South wind 2-10mph. 40% chance for rain.

Friday, mostly cloudy with scattered rain and some clearing at times. Highs in the 50s with a few 60s and an East/variable wind 2-12mph. 40% chance for rain.

Friday night, mostly cloudy with a good chance for continued, scattered rain (North & West). Lows in the 30s & 40s with a light wind, swinging around to the NE. 30% chance for rain.

Saturday, rain chances will end early followed by clearing. Highs in the 50s & 60s with an East/South wind 2-12mph.

Saturday night, partly to mostly cloudy with in & out cover and a few showers possible. Lows in the 30s & 40s with a South/SW wind 5-15mph and picking up through Sunday.
