Tips to survive allergy season

News

(WSPA) — Allergy season is officially here.

World Allergy Week runs through April 28.

Allergy sufferers are typically miserable from March to June, according to experts at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Experts say more than 50 million Americans annually suffer from allergies. This time of year is when most people are impacted.

Dr. Robin Go, an allergist with Spartanburg Regional, suggests staying indoors during the heavy pollen season.

Other tips include keeping windows and doors closed, scheduling activities when it’s not windy and later in the day and not hanging clothes outside to dry. Another suggestion is bathing in the evening to reduce pollen brought into the house.
